Masseria Corsano
Sleek, modern Italian design hotel wearing a traditional Puglian stone shell. More polished boutique resort than rustic farmhouse retreat. Minimal colour palette of whites, greys and creams. Brand-partnered with Bulgari, Technogym, Talenti and Porsche — which tells you something about the positioning.
The MC Villa Benessere spa is open to external guests — worth booking even if you're staying elsewhere nearby
Why It Matters
One of the very few Salento masserie that leans fully into contemporary luxury rather than trading on rustic patina. Every suite has a private jacuzzi terrace. The MC Villa Benessere spa is open to external non-guests. The Ristorante Pietra harvests from its own garden and serves genuine Apulian cooking. The Tower Suite tops it all with a private pool and panoramic terrace over the olive grove.
Masseria Corsano is a 15-suite luxury boutique hotel inside a 17th-century agricultural estate on Puglia's Salento coast. Sports manager Leonardo Giusti and professional footballer Alfred Duncan bought the abandoned property in 2016 and rebuilt it from the ground up. The stacked-stone exterior looks like a classic Puglian farmhouse. Step inside, and it's a different story: clean neutral tones, modern Italian furniture, archways of original stonework, and a Kos Zucchetti whirlpool on every single terrace. It sits just a 13-minute walk from Porto Selvaggio nature reserve, with the Baroque town of Nardò a few miles inland and Lecce roughly an hour by car.

How you'll actually spend your days.
Learn hand-rolled pasta — orecchiette, gnocchi, risotto, or pizza — with the hotel chef. It starts in the vegetable garden and ends with an exclusive lunch in the pergola with a dedicated waiter. One of the more genuine masseria-style experiences on offer.
One of the 32 Lounge Bar bartenders guides you through cocktail creation — ingredient selection, mixing technique, and how to make it your own. Available for couples.
An Italian-style picnic outdoors with local Puglian products paired with wine. Simple, relaxed, and done well.
Day use (10am–6pm) in a dedicated suite with heated outdoor jacuzzi, a 60-minute couple's spa session, champagne welcome, and a 3-course lunch or dinner at Ristorante Pietra.
A 24-hour Technogym-equipped fitness room. Fully kitted with proper equipment rather than a token hotel gym.
A dawn horseback ride stopping at the beach for a swim and breakfast at the riding stables. One of the better ways to see the Salento coastline at low season.
A three-hour guided bike ride to Porto Selvaggio nature reserve, passing spunnulate (natural sinkholes), pajare (dry stone huts), and beaten-earth tracks. Ends with a picnic surrounded by nature.
On-site padel court with rackets and accessories available at MC Villa Benessere.
Pickleball court on-site at the masseria grounds.
