Why It Matters
A genuinely rare convergence: a traditional Salentine masseria with a serious design pedigree — walls of hand-polished pietra Leccese, travertine marble floors, restored ceiling paintings in arched hallways — filled with installation-level Belgian art furniture. The Michelin Guide lists it; Tablet Hotels endorses it. And unlike most design hotels, it can flip to a fully staffed private-villa rental with a Michelin-trained chef team.
A centuries-old fortified stone farmhouse — once a working flower market — fully transformed into a high-design luxury retreat on the edge of Leverano. The weathered exterior walls stay rough and honest, but step inside and it's polished travertine floors, soaring groin-vault ceilings, and Belgian designer furniture that has absolutely no business being this far south in Italy. That tension between ancient Apulian bones and contemporary northern European taste is exactly what makes the place memorable. Six rooms and three suites (plus the dramatic Panoramic Room in the tower) means it never feels crowded, and the whole property can also be taken over privately for groups up to 18 adults.

Spacious at 27sqm, entered directly from the outdoor courtyard, with a signature groin-vault ceiling. Memory foam double on a distinctive leather headboard. Private bathroom with shower and bidet. A step up in volume and atmosphere from the standard rooms.

The most dramatic room in the property, and something of a showpiece. Located on the upper floor of the tower, accessed by stairs, with a private terrace looking down over the pool. The design goes full contemporary: natural exposed concrete surfaces, zenithal light, and a freestanding bathtub placed right in the sleeping area. Open-plan bathroom with no door. Twenty square metres feels cosy rather than cramped here because the private gazebo poolside extends your space. This is the so-called 'Upper Room' mentioned in management notes — a total black design experience.

The top traditional room at 29sqm. Groin-vault ceiling, garden access, and — the main draw — a private Turkish bath in the room. Double sink in the bathroom. Memory foam double on leather headboard that splits to twins. The most complete in-room wellness offering of the whole property.
