Maroma
Mexican hacienda meets contemporary eco-luxury. White stucco architecture, palapa-thatched rooftops, locally crafted furniture, Talavera-style tiles, and Mayan cultural touchpoints throughout. Intimate and quiet — not a sprawling mega-resort. Deeply rooted in sustainability and Yucatán heritage.

Why It Matters
One of the original luxury resorts on the Riviera Maya, with one of the region's most acclaimed beaches. Home to the first Guerlain spa in Latin America, a Michelin-recognized restaurant by Curtis Stone, and a bar program designed by Handshake Speakeasy (World's 50 Best Bars). EarthCheck Silver certified and Starlight certified for dark skies.
Maroma started life as an architect's dream house in the early 1980s, sitting on one of the Riviera Maya's finest stretches of Caribbean beach 30 miles south of Cancún. The barrier reef position means the water is absurdly blue and the beach is genuinely exceptional. After a sweeping renovation completed in 2023-24 under designer Tara Bernerd, the property relaunched with new waterfront suites, a Guerlain spa partnership, and Michelin-recognized Woodend by Curtis Stone — cementing it as one of Mexico's most complete luxury resort experiences.
