Maroma started life as an architect's dream house in the early 1980s, sitting on one of the Riviera Maya's finest stretches of Caribbean beach 30 miles south of Cancún. The barrier reef position means the water is absurdly blue and the beach is genuinely exceptional. After a sweeping renovation completed in 2023-24 under designer Tara Bernerd, the property relaunched with new waterfront suites, a Guerlain spa partnership, and Michelin-recognized Woodend by Curtis Stone — cementing it as one of Mexico's most complete luxury resort experiences.

Entry-level rooms with either garden or ocean views, each with a private terrace. Redesigned with Mexican artisanal furnishings, king-size beds, and Maroma bath amenities by Xinú. Good choice if you want to invest in the beach and spa rather than the room itself.
Junior Suite
A clear step up with panoramic ocean or tropical garden views, a separate sitting area, and either a thatched roof terrace or a charming stone terrace. The thatched terrace ocean-view versions are the sweet spot for most guests.
Oceanfront Suite
Prime beachfront location with unobstructed ocean views and a spacious outdoor terrace stocked with chaise lounges. Select units have private pools or plunge pools — these are serious contenders if budget allows.
Pavo Real Suite
One-bedroom oceanfront suite sitting directly on the beach with its own private pool, large terrace, outdoor shower, and a private palapa. Named for the peacock — sacred in Mayan culture. Separate living area, king bed, double wash basins, spa bathtub, walk-in shower.

The big one. Four oceanfront bedrooms with a full kitchen, bar, spacious outdoor terrace, chaise lounges, and a private pool. Located right on the beach adjacent to the spa. Each bedroom can be configured as king or twin four-poster beds — ideal for large families or groups. Largest and most private accommodation on property.
Villa Xuxú
Two-bedroom oceanfront plunge pool villa with a spectacular rooftop terrace and direct beach access. Two king beds, separate living areas, and a kitchenette. The rooftop terrace is the standout feature — it faces the ocean with nothing between you and the Caribbean.
