Why It Matters
One of the very few properties in Nîmes combining a classified historic monument setting with a Michelin-starred restaurant on the ground floor. Only 10 rooms means real intimacy. The building itself — 17th century, marble staircase, inner stone courtyard — is the experience.
A 17th-century private mansion classified as a French Historic Monument, sitting right in the heart of Nîmes' old town — steps from the Roman amphitheater and the Maison Carrée. Just 10 rooms and suites (plus an apartment), each with its own look and feel, all pulled together with warm terracotta, mustard and plum tones lifted from the surrounding Gard landscape. The real draw beyond the rooms: ROUGE, a 1-Michelin-star restaurant on-site with some serious cooking. No elevator, no on-site parking — this is a very old building with thick walls and a majestic internal staircase, and that's exactly the point.

A compact but soundproofed double room with an ebony and bronze palette lifted with a touch of blood orange. En-suite shower bathroom stocked with toiletries and cosmetics. The smallest option in the house — 24m² — but well-appointed and quiet.

Decorated in grey, chocolate and caramel with herringbone parquet, earthenware, gypseries, leather and velvet — a serious amount of thought went into this room.
