An all-white modernist resort on the Sea of Cortez in San José del Cabo, designed by Mexican architect Miguel Ángel Aragonés. The whole complex appears to float — stark white cube buildings connected by elevated walkways, all mirrored in still reflecting pools fed by desalinated seawater. It's part science fiction, part fine art, and entirely one-of-a-kind in the Cabo region. Originally opened as Mar Adentro in 2016, Viceroy took over in 2018 and added a significant renovation, upping the F&B count to six venues and expanding the spa.

Public spaces throughout the resort are curated with works by established artists and emerging local talent. An artist-in-residence program (a legacy from the Mar Adentro era with Hotel Café) brings live music to the property periodically.
