The hotel sits on a private 6-acre botanical park that slopes to the lake, giving it a seclusion that most Como properties lack. Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como sits on the eastern shore of Lake Como in the small village of Blevio, spread across nine historic 19th-century villas and a centuries-old botanical park. The centrepiece is Villa Roccabruna — former home of opera singer Giuditta Pasta — with frescoed ceilings, marble corridors, and Murano chandeliers setting the tone throughout. This was Mandarin Oriental's first European resort when it opened in 2018, and the group took the project seriously: 75 rooms and suites across nine buildings, a 40-metre floating infinity pool designed by Herzog & de Meuron, and the largest spa on Lake Como.
