Downtown, Dubai
Ultra-modern urban tower with subtle Asian heritage touches. Sleek, serious luxury — not flashy. Think custom Technogym equipment, 111SKIN spa exclusives, and a speakeasy-inspired Chinese restaurant hidden behind a cocktail bar.
Check-in is on the 36th floor — the journey up is part of the experience
Why It Matters
The first Mandarin Oriental branded residences in Dubai debut here in 2026. The building holds the region's tallest ceramic façade and a rooftop helipad. Coming dining includes Pavyllon Dubai by Yannick Alléno — the world's most Michelin-starred chef. The hotel won Travel + Leisure IT List 2026 (100 Best New Hotels) and Best Architecture: Hotel at the 2025 Identity Design Awards.
Opened in November 2025, Mandarin Oriental Downtown occupies Wasl Tower — a 303-metre twisting skyscraper on Sheikh Zayed Road designed by UNStudio and engineered by Werner Sobek. Check-in happens on the 36th floor. The 259 rooms and suites all have either Arabian Gulf or Dubai skyline views, with interiors by London-based G.A Group mixing the brand's Asian heritage with warm, understated desert-toned palettes and a curated art collection. Ten dining concepts (some still rolling out), a two-floor spa, a 25m outdoor lap pool, and a rooftop helipad for VIP arrivals round out the package.
