Why It Matters
Mama's second Paris outpost brings the brand's signature formula to the 15th: an indoor miniature basketball court, a print shop where you can design your own T-shirt, DJ sets Thursday through Saturday, and a rooftop with genuine skyline views. Rooms come with complimentary sweets baskets (lollipops, gummy bears), free on-demand movies, and organic Mama Skin toiletries. The Green Key certification shows some environmental credibility.
Mama Shelter Paris West is a 207-room lifestyle hotel in the 15th arrondissement, built in 2019 right around the corner from the Porte de Versailles exhibition center. Architecture by Jean-Michel Wilmotte, interiors by designers Dion & Arles — think concrete walls, psychedelic carpets, velvet cushions, rattan lampshades, and the occasional Star Wars mask on the wall. The 8th-floor rooftop bar with wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas and city views is the main draw, and DJs spin there on weekends.
