Maison Delano Paris
Discreet aristocratic grandeur with a modern boutique edge. More drawing-room sophistication than flashy hotel lobby. The kind of place that feels personally curated rather than chain-polished.
The Grand Historic Suite (120 sqm) can adjoin with the Grand Prestige Suite to create a massive two-bedroom configuration — worth asking about for families or groups
Why It Matters
The first Delano hotel outside the United States, and the brand's current flagship. Designer Lázaro Rosa Violán preserved and elevated the mansion's original 18th-century architectural details — think herringbone parquet, gold ceilings, glass chandeliers — against a backdrop of contemporary art and furniture. The Presidential Suite's 190 sqm combines the two largest suites in the building and sleeps six.
An 18th-century Parisian mansion turned 56-room flagship hotel for the Delano brand. The building dates to 1734, and the interiors were conceived by Barcelona-based designer Lázaro Rosa Violán. Warm neutral palettes, olive greens, blush curtains, original marble fireplaces, and painted ceilings do the heavy lifting here — this is old Parisian bones dressed in a very contemporary wardrobe. No pool, no dedicated spa, but the address on quiet Rue d'Anjou, steps off Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, is hard to argue with.
