Maison de Myon
Collector's home turned boutique guesthouse. Eclectic and personal — feels like staying with a discerning French friend who happens to own a very beautiful house. Each room has its own palette and personality. Equal parts old-world Lorraine and globe-trotting contemporary.

Why It Matters
Listed in both the Michelin Guide and Tablet Hotels. Ranked #1 of 8 B&Bs in Nancy on TripAdvisor. The property itself is a heritage 18th-century hôtel particulier in a neighbourhood once devoted to cathedral clergy, just 600m from the UNESCO-listed Place Stanislas. Martine's personality and curatorial eye are genuinely what make this place exceptional.
A real 18th-century aristocratic townhouse in Nancy's former canons' quarter, run by Martine Quénot — who bought and restored the property in 2006 and has since filled it with art collected over a lifetime of travel. Ten individually decorated rooms, lofts, and studios spread across the historic mansion, with polished parquet floors, period architecture, and a mix of Daum glass, contemporary art, and ethnic pieces. The sunlit inner courtyard is where breakfast happens in summer, and the former stables have been turned into a library. No pool, no gym, no elevator to the 3rd-floor lofts.
