Why It Matters
Opened November 2024 in a completely reimagined building, it instantly became Nice's most talked-about new luxury hotel. The rooftop Taulissa restaurant is helmed by Michelin-starred chef Glenn Viel; the Oria Spa's 24K gold signature facial was shortlisted for Best Signature Care 2025; and its location — literally 20 metres from the Promenade des Anglais and 400 metres from Place Masséna — is genuinely hard to beat.
A brand-new 5-star hotel that opened November 2024 on the Promenade des Anglais, right in Nice's golden Carré d'Or district. The building — formerly the Boscolo Plaza — was completely redesigned by architect Jean-Paul Gomis and Parisian studio MHNA, resulting in a look that channels 1930s Riviera villa energy: azure tones, Biot glasswork, lacquered wood, and grey marble bathrooms. With 102 rooms and 30 suites looking out over the Baie des Anges, a 650 m² gold-themed spa, and a Michelin-level chef running the rooftop restaurant, it's the most complete luxury address Nice has seen in years.
