Made in Louise is a 48-room boutique hotel in a protected early 20th-century Brussels townhouse, run by siblings Mélanie and Martin Duchateau (both École Hôtelière de Lausanne graduates) alongside their mother, an interior designer. They bought the former Hotel Louise in 2011, renovated it with personality intact, and reopened it as Made in Louise. Each room is individually decorated — bold striped wallpaper in one, vivid floral blue in another, rough wooden headboards and pale tones somewhere else. It feels much more like staying at a well-traveled friend's house than a hotel.
