Madame Drouot
Parisian apartment-style boutique. Art-meets-auction aesthetic — vintage antiques in dialogue with modern minimalism. Soft, uncluttered tones (creams, light greys, with pops of orange and blue). Calm, intimate, residential rather than grand-hotel.

Why It Matters
Stéphanie Coutas's eclectic, auction-house-inspired design won quick editorial attention from Hotel Designs. It's one of very few 4-star Paris boutique hotels with both a hammam and a counter-current pool. Listed by Tablet Hotels. Sister properties include Hôtel de Fleurie and Folie des Prés.
Madame Drouot is a 33-room, 4-star boutique hotel in Paris's 9th arrondissement, with its design DNA drawn directly from the famous Drouot auction house next door. Designer Stéphanie Coutas filled the spaces with objects sourced at auction — a white marble bust from the 18th century, a custom selenite mirror she crafted herself — layered against clean Haussmann proportions, light-coloured marble, delicate wood panelling, and contemporary fabrics by Arte and Casamance. It feels less like a hotel and more like a beautifully considered Parisian apartment. The spa sits under vaulted cellar ceilings with a hammam, sauna, and counter-current pool; Café Monsieur runs from morning coffee through weekend brunch.
