Lou Pinet
Boho-chic 1960s French Riviera nostalgia. Feels like a well-curated friend's holiday home rather than a hotel — real room keys, handwritten welcome notes, Garnier Thiébaut satin sheets, and staff who actually remember your name. Rooms spread across three apricot-hued villas linked by flagstone paths through sculpture-dotted Mediterranean gardens.
Go for a suite with a private terrace — it doubles as your own personal apéro spot and makes the price premium worth it
Why It Matters
One of the few five-star hotels in Saint-Tropez that actually feels intimate and personal rather than flashy. The Pariente family redesigned it with their own memories of summers spent here in the 1970s. Beefbar is a genuine destination restaurant. The spa is the only one in the area carrying 100% organic Tata Harper treatments — and it won Gala magazine's Spas Awards in 2020. Open seasonally (May–October only).
Lou Pinet is a 34-room, five-star boutique hotel in the residential Le Pinet district of Saint-Tropez, taken over by the Pariente family in 2017 and rebuilt from scratch. The design is architect Charles Zana's love letter to 1960s Saint-Tropez — linen, terracotta, rope, ceramics, Matisse-inspired art, and Provençal pottery from Vallauris — while landscape architect Jean Mus shaped the fragrant citrus-and-jasmine gardens. Beefbar's Riccardo Giraudi runs the restaurant. The pool, at 15m x 4m, is one of the largest in central Saint-Tropez and is the undisputed social centre of the place.

How you'll actually spend your days.
A classic board game available in the bar — very much in keeping with the 1960s holiday-home spirit of the place. Pair with a pastis.
Complimentary shuttle service running between the hotel and Saint-Tropez / the beaches. Makes getting to Pampelonne Beach (Club 55, Byblos, Tahiti — 5 minutes away) or Place des Lices painless. Also runs sunshine-yellow mini mokes for guests.
Sunshine-yellow mini mokes whisk guests down to Place des Lices and around town. A proper Saint-Tropez moment in themselves.
A dedicated experience manager on-site who organizes personalized excursions, boat trips, and activities around Saint-Tropez and the peninsula. Covers everything from beach clubs to guided exploration of the Var.
Fully-equipped fitness studio on-site. Small but functional — enough for a morning workout before heading to the pool.
Morning yoga classes held outdoors in the hotel gardens, accompanied by the sound of cicadas. A genuinely peaceful way to start a Saint-Tropez day before the heat builds.
A 15m x 4m heated outdoor pool (1.5m depth) — one of the largest in central Saint-Tropez. Red-and-pink rolled towels set out on loungers every morning. Hammocks laze at the water's edge. The pool is the centrepiece of hotel life here and connects the three garden villas. Non-crowded even in peak season by Saint-Tropez standards.
