Why It Matters
One of the few hotels giving direct access to the Étretat cliff walk region without staying in the tourist scrum of Étretat itself. The estate has been in the same family for four generations — that continuity shows in the care of the grounds and the quality of the NUXE spa partnership.
A four-generation family estate converted into a 4-star boutique hotel and spa, set on 20 hectares of pine forest and landscaped gardens five minutes from the chalk cliffs of Étretat. The great-grandfather César planted a thousand Austrian pines here in the 19th century, and the property still carries his name. Rooms are spread across several century-old buildings — each different in size and layout — decorated with a bold color palette and outfitted with freestanding tubs. The NUXE Spa is the real draw: a 12×5m covered heated pool, a Tylarium sauna, and an outdoor Japanese bath, all tucked into the grounds.

Comfy Luxe Room
From EUR200 / nightThe entry-level room, and still very well-sorted. Classic country-house decor with bold colors, a freestanding double bath right in the room (you have to like a tub in the bedroom — many guests love it), a separate walk-in shower, and a proper king bed. All rooms are unique layouts given the century-old buildings, so no two are identical. Views vary: some overlook the pine forest, others the garden or the horse paddock.

Deluxe Room

These are genuinely spacious rooms — 30 to 35m² — with the same freestanding double bath and walk-in shower as the Comfy Luxe, but significantly more breathing room. An extra bed can be added on request. The Deluxe rooms deliver the Étretat countryside experience at its most comfortable without going full Chalet.

Garden Room
From EUR280 / nightThe most nature-forward option. Set at the edge of the rhododendron garden and woodland, these rooms are deliberately off-grid: no WiFi, no television. Instead you get a private deck, a personal outdoor Nordic bath, natural materials throughout, and a zinc-and-slate shower. Books, board games, yoga mats, and Molky are provided. For anyone actually wanting to disconnect, this is the one.
The Chalet
From EUR580 / nightA contemporary lodge-style standalone house a few steps from reception. Two proper double bedrooms, a children's bedroom on the mezzanine, a double bath and walk-in shower, a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge with fireplace, and direct garden access. It sleeps a family of four or five comfortably while still getting full hotel service. This is the only modern-build on the property — peaked roof, lodge aesthetic — versus the century-old main houses. Pricey but worth it for a family or group that wants independence.

Electric bikes available for hire to cycle to Étretat along quiet rural roads marked with 'Présence de Cyclistes'. About a 20-minute ride each way. The hotel is directly connected to these routes.
20 hectares of Normandy meadows, landscaped rhododendron gardens, 13 hectares of woodland criss-crossed with paths, a lake, and farm animals including horses and goats. Wellies are available to borrow at reception.
A guided hike to the beautiful Plage du Tilleul. The hotel equips you with a backpack, binoculars for wildlife spotting, a poncho for rain, and a route map. A picnic is packed for the journey. E-bike option available as an alternative at €40/person supplement.
