Why It Matters
The hotel has a real point of view baked into every design decision. It's also directly opposite the Panthéon — the views from the upper floors are hard to beat in this arrondissement. The Latin Quarter location puts Notre-Dame, the Sorbonne, the Jardin du Luxembourg, and the Emily in Paris filming square all within easy walking distance.
A 35-room boutique hotel sitting directly on Place du Panthéon, dedicated to the women history overlooked. Owner Corinne Moncelli named it Les Dames du Panthéon as a pointed response to the monument across the street — full of France's great men and, aside from Marie Curie, only men. Each floor pays tribute to a different woman: Belle Époque 'cocottes' on the first, Édith Piaf on the second, George Sand on the third, Juliette Gréco on the fourth, the Signares of West Africa on the fifth, and Marguerite Duras's Indochina on the sixth. The concept is genuinely thought-through, not a superficial design exercise.

At 16m², these are the smallest rooms in the house and face either quiet Rue Clotaire or the interior courtyard — no Panthéon view. But they're well put together, with precious fabrics and period-themed decor that changes by floor. Good option for a city break when you plan to be out most of the day. Nine rooms in total, so availability is decent.

Deluxe Pantheon Room
The single most impressive room in the hotel for views. On the top floor at 26m², with a panoramic outlook taking in the Panthéon directly opposite, Notre-Dame to the east, and Montmartre on the horizon. The Marguerite Duras / Indochina theme runs throughout: reds and browns, Chinese paper lamps, and fabrics printed with geisha faces. King bed (200x200cm) and walk-in shower. Only one room.

A 26m² suite that throws you into the Belle Époque world of 19th-century Parisian 'cocottes'. Divans, stretched silks, flaming reds, velvet everywhere. The most plentiful category at 25 rooms, sized at 20m² and all facing the Panthéon. What sets them apart from Superior Pantheons: a queen-size bed (180x200cm), a bathtub instead of shower, and a welcome setup of rose petals, a half bottle of champagne, and chocolates on arrival. Each floor has a different woman's theme. Good value for couples.

The largest suite at 30m², themed around the sultry 19th-century courtesan world: red and black interior, velvet banquettes, frills, and dramatic lighting. The layout includes a sleeping area with king bed, a separate living room/boudoir, and a large open bathroom with a lion-foot bathtub. Faces Rue Clotaire and the courtyard for a quiet, intimate feel. The hotel highlights its privatisation potential for photo shoots, private meetings, or interviews.

Superior Pantheon Balcony Room
The balcony makes all the difference here. At 20m², the room itself is compact but the outdoor space directly facing the Panthéon extends the feel considerably.
