Les Cîmes
Intimate, family-owned alpine chalet with a fashion-forward edge. Think exposed wood, leather club chairs, a fireplace, and a boutique stocked from Berlin and Munich trade shows. Feels like a stylish friend's mountain home, not a hotel.

Why It Matters
Three-generation Hudry family ownership, listed in the Michelin Guide and Gault&Millau, ranked #1 hotel in Le Grand-Bornand on TripAdvisor. The founder's grandfather helped establish the Aravis ski resort itself. The on-site Maison Hudry boutique and Le Strato bar add a distinctly non-generic atmosphere.
This eight-room chalet in the hamlet of Chinaillon has been the Hudry family's home for three generations — their grandfather Ernest was one of the founders of the Aravis resort. Now a 4-star hotel, it sits 100 metres from the ski slopes at 1,300m altitude. Small by design: five rooms and three suites, all individually decorated in classic alpine style, ranging from a snug 15 sqm to a generous 50 sqm. The ground floor buzzes with a designer boutique (La Maison Hudry), an après-ski bar (Le Strato), a brunch service in the bergerie, and a basement spa.
