Les Bories & SPA
Refined Provençal luxury. Stone walls, elegant interiors with soft regional textures, sprawling gardens. Calm and deliberately unhurried — this is a place people come to slow down, not party.
The fitness trail from the hotel into Gordes village is free and genuinely beautiful — do it at dusk when the stone village glows.
Why It Matters
One of the very few places in the Luberon where you can sleep surrounded by actual centuries-old bories, walk a fitness trail directly into the village of Gordes, and eat at a Michelin-starred restaurant in the same evening. The spa runs on its own aromatherapy philosophy, Ennea, developed specifically for the property.
A 5-star Provençal estate sitting on 8 hectares just outside Gordes, one of the most photographed villages in France. The property takes its name from the ancient dry-stone shepherds' huts — bories — that dot the grounds among lavender, olive groves and cypress trees; some have been restored and woven directly into the hotel's architecture. Thirty-four rooms and suites, a Michelin-starred gourmet restaurant, a bistrot, a seasonal pool club, and a 400 sq.m aromatherapy spa round out a property that earns its stars.
