Why It Matters
Genuinely owner-run at a tiny scale: Christel's hospitality is the main event. Combined with the Godfather connection in Savoca — Bar Vitelli is a short walk away — and a strategic position between Taormina, Etna, and the Ionian coast, this is one of the most characterful small B&Bs on the island.
Four rooms, one owner, zero fuss. Lemon House is a neoclassical English-style villa sitting just above the hilltop village of Savoca — the same village where Coppola shot The Godfather's Sicilian scenes — in the tiny hamlet of Rina. Owner Christel runs the place with her daughter Emma: they serve breakfast in a glass-fronted winter garden overlooking the pool, hand out restaurant reservations before you've even asked, and seem to know every corner of eastern Sicily. It's adults-only, seasonal (April through October), and there are only four rooms — so it books up.

The property arranges reserved sunbeds and umbrellas at a partner beach lido in Santa Teresa di Riva, 3km away. Available at a supplement.
The property can arrange private excursions across eastern Sicily — day trips to Taormina (15km), Mount Etna (64km), the Alcantara Gorge, Syracuse, and Noto. Private driver and helicopter tour options available on request.
Walk 30 minutes uphill from the property to reach Savoca village, voted one of Italy's most beautiful. Bar Vitelli — the Godfather betrothal-scene bar — is there, as are three notable medieval churches and the rocky castle summit. Christel maps the route and can book tables at village restaurants.
