Why It Matters
One of France's oldest beachfront palace hotels (1896), directly connected to one of Brittany's most comprehensive thalassotherapy and longevity centers. The ORA Longevity Bay integrates medical-spa protocols from La Clinique des Champs-Élysées alongside traditional marine cures — a rare combination at this scale.
Built in 1896 and facing the Bay of La Baule directly, Le Royal is the grande dame of this Breton seaside resort. The neo-Romanesque facade is all Belle Époque swagger — inside, decorator Chantal Peyrat has overhauled the 87 rooms with a palette of beige, white, and Atlantic blue inspired by the salt marshes of Guérande. The real draw is ORA The Longevity Bay, a 3,000 m² thalasso and longevity center attached to the hotel, where treatments range from seaweed wraps and flotation pools to hyperbaric chambers and cryotherapy.
