Why It Matters

Seven suites on a hillside at the edge of a national reserve, about 40km southwest of Copacabana. The city feels far away here — you're looking out over the Restinga de Marambaia, watching sea turtles pass below the spa deck at dusk. French-owned, with a design that mixes minimalist lines, rustic wooden touches, and the odd inherited French armchair. It works. The spa was named by Vogue Brasil as one of the world's most incredible in 2015, and that's honestly the best one-line pitch for this place.

Ocean Suite with Jacuzzi
Same generous layout as the standard ocean suite but adds a private hydromassage bathtub. Five of the hotel's seven suites include this feature. Suite 7 is the top-floor option with arguably the best sea view and is frequently cited by guests as the standout room.
