Le Mas de la Rose
Rustic-luxe Provençal farmhouse — stone arches, vaulted sitting rooms, open fires — without any sense of stuffiness. Quiet, unhurried, and genuinely residential in feel.
Book directly at mas-rose.com — guests report paying less than via OTAs, and the hotel itself advises this at check-in.
Why It Matters
A textbook example of the Provençal mas-hotel genre: a fully restored 17th-century hamlet sitting at the foot of the Alpilles, part of both Tablet Hotels and Teritoria (formerly Les Collectionneurs) collections. The vegetable garden feeding the restaurant is the real standout — chef Fabien Taguemount works with a named roster of local suppliers and the cellar is stocked exclusively with Alpilles and Bouches-du-Rhône estates.
A 17th-century stone farmhouse converted into a 12-room boutique hotel, spread across former sheepfolds on a 20-hectare estate outside Orgon. Ancient terracotta floor tiles, painted beams, and soothing Provençal tones run throughout — the place looks and feels more like someone's country home than a hotel. The restaurant, Le Potager du Mas, runs its own vegetable garden and sources everything else from named local producers.
