Le Galinier, Lourmarin
Slow Provence aristocracy. Old-world Provençal authenticity with modern comforts slipped in quietly — think linen sofas, wood-planked floors, Grown Alchemist toiletries. No fuss, no lobby theater.

Why It Matters
Listed in the Michelin Guide. One of only two Beaumier properties in Lourmarin (sister property Le Moulin is 150m away). The estate can be rented in its entirety for private events. Lourmarin village itself — Château de Lourmarin, the famous Friday market, Albert Camus' grave — is a 2-minute walk. The Friday lavender-and-produce market is one of the best in the Luberon.
Le Galinier is an 18th-century Provençal bastide sitting just outside Lourmarin on a 3-hectare park, part of the Beaumier collection. It's the rare thing: a place that genuinely feels like someone's home rather than a hotel. Thick stone walls, weathered terracotta floors, rose gardens, a pétanque court — and a pool ringed by ancient trees. The whole estate has a slightly wild, un-manicured quality that the Michelin Guide aptly calls 'just right.' Nine rooms, suites, and self-contained apartments spread across the original farmhouse and several outbuildings, ranging from a compact 25m² Prestige room to the three-storey, 150m² Maison du Chef with its own private garden.
