Le Bailli de Suffren sits right on the waterfront in Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer, a quieter stretch of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez that most people drive past on their way to the famous port down the road. That's exactly the point. This 55-room four-star hotel has a private beach, a heated pool, three restaurants, and views across to the Îles d'Or — all the Riviera ingredients, minus the crowds. The rooms were renovated in 2017 and common areas refreshed in 2023, and the Provençal-meets-contemporary aesthetic holds up well.

The top-floor rooms at Le Bailli. Located on the 5th floor, Club rooms deliver panoramic views over the Mediterranean and the Îles d'Or that are a step above everything else in the hotel. A Nespresso machine (an upgrade from Malongo elsewhere) and a complimentary bottle of water per day are included. Beds run from 160 cm up to 180 cm in twin configuration.

The most numerous room type, spread across floors 1–3. At 32 m², they're not huge, but every one faces the sea.
