Brisas
Mid-century Mexican glamour with zero apology. Wicker chairs, stone shower walls, hibiscus blossoms scattered into your pool each morning by housekeeping. It isn't slick or minimalist — it has the kind of character that only accumulates over decades of Frank Sinatra, JFK, Neil Armstrong, and Bono checking in.

Why It Matters
Credited with kick-starting international tourism in Mexico when it opened in 1957. Celebrity handprints in pink cement line the lobby walls. The AAA Four Diamond Bellavista Restaurant and the private La Concha Beach Club with its saltwater swimming grottos are genuinely special. One of the few Acapulco properties that maintained its identity through the city's rough decades.
Las Brisas opened in 1957 and hasn't pretended to be anything else since. Spread across 40 acres of hibiscus-covered hillside above Acapulco Bay, it's the resort that essentially put Mexico on the international luxury travel map. The signature move here is privacy: 251 stand-alone casitas, most with their own plunge pool and terrace facing the bay or Pacific Ocean. Pink and white jeeps named after celebrity guests still ferry you around the property — a small, deliberate detail that says everything about this place's personality.

How you'll actually spend your days.
Fully equipped, air-conditioned gym with cardio machines and a universal gym setup. Completely remodeled with high-tech equipment. The standout feature: floor-to-ceiling views of Acapulco Bay while you work out.
Full-service boutique spa open daily 9 am – 7 pm. See spa section for full service list.
The resort's private club on Acapulco Bay, reachable by shuttle every 20 minutes (5-minute ride). Features a swim-up bar, a large freshwater pool, and two saltwater swimming grottos open to the bay — the grottos are filled with fish and crabs, so snorkeling is a legitimate option. There's no sand beach here; the setup is rock-and-fieldstone saltwater pools that are continuously refreshed by the bay.
Rent one of the signature pink and white jeeps to explore the area. Each jeep is named after a famous celebrity who has stayed at the property — Denzel Washington, among others. The concierge can tell you the full roster. These are also used as the resort's internal transport.
The beach club's water sports desk rents snorkeling gear and kayaks, and arranges water skiing, fishing trips, and beginner and advanced scuba diving lessons and excursions. The saltwater grottos are a natural snorkeling spot.
Board one of the hotel's luxury yachts for a bay cruise to watch the famous cliff divers at La Quebrada — one of Acapulco's most iconic shows. Appetizers and cocktails are served onboard as you cruise the bay.
