Lanthia Resort
Modern Sardinian boutique. Quiet, nature-embedded, restrained design. Not flashy. Feels more like a well-loved private estate than a hotel.
Book a full-day motor yacht trip to the Gulf of Orosei through the hotel — the iconic coves like Cala Goloritze and Cala Mariolu are inaccessible by road, and the hotel's fish lunch on board is worth it on its own
Why It Matters
Tablet Hotels member sitting on the edge of the Golfo di Orosei — one of Italy's most dramatic coastlines and still well off the mass-tourism circuit. Private beach reached via a pine-forest walk, infinity pool, and a kitchen that sources lamb from the Gennargentu mountains and fish from its own sea.
Lanthia Resort is a 28-room boutique hotel on Sardinia's east coast, sitting between the dense Ogliastra forest and the Mediterranean sea. The structure is old — granite façades from the 1960s — but the inside tells a very different story: clean modernist lines, personalised ceramics, hand-woven linens, and oak floors. Every room is named after a Sardinian village and carries that place's colours, fabrics, and photographs on its walls. It's the kind of place that got out of its own way and let the landscape do the heavy lifting.

Seasonal outdoor infinity pool at the heart of the estate, set within three hectares of Mediterranean garden and scrub.
