The Frisian countryside has extensive dedicated cycle paths; routes reach the 11 Frisian cities, the Sneekermeer and cross into Drenthe, Flevoland and Overijssel. Luxury mountain bikes and e-bikes also available for a small fee.

The 18-hole Golf & Country Club Lauswolt is directly adjacent to the hotel and is ranked the best golf resort in the Netherlands by Leadingcourses. The course plays 6,146 metres from the back tees, with four par-4s exceeding 400 metres. Weaves through forest and open meadow with no traffic noise audible. A handicap card (Clubhandicap, EGA or equivalent foreign federation card) is required to play. Golf packages available.
An annual outdoor summer concert on the estate grounds featuring the Noord Nederlands Orkest. One of the signature cultural events of the Frisian calendar. Check the hotel website for specific dates each year.
