A Dutch Renaissance Revival manor house built in 1907 for tobacco merchant Jacob Theodoor Cremer — once the largest private residence in the Netherlands. It sits directly on the edge of Zuid-Kennemerland National Park, 20 minutes from Amsterdam and 10 minutes from Haarlem. The 75 rooms split between the original manor house (classic, wood-panelled, English country aesthetic) and a modern adjacent wing (five themed rooms, cleaner lines). There's a proper spa, a French-leaning restaurant, conference facilities, and direct access to dunes, cycling trails, and the North Sea coast.

Classic
Cozy and classically furnished rooms in the manor house. Views look out over the forest edge or the English landscape garden. These are the entry-level manor house rooms and can be on the smaller side — worth knowing before you book.
Classic Deluxe
In the manor house, these are the pick for guests who want extra space without going full suite. Very comfortably furnished in the classic English country style. Garden views available. Extra bed can be added.
Classic Suite
Located in the original manor house. Spacious and light, with nature views, a separate seating area, a proper writing desk, and a full bathroom. Comes stocked with a minibar, bathrobe, and slippers. Can accommodate 2–3 guests.
Family Room
Two connecting rooms in the modern wing joined by an interior door. Adults get privacy in one room, kids in the room next door. The wing's five themes make the rooms feel more playful than the manor house. Practical and well-suited for weekend family stays.
Patio Room
In the modern adjacent wing, decorated in one of five distinct themes (including Java Lodge, English Garden, and others). More contemporary feel than the manor house rooms. Some patio/terrace access. Extra bed available. Good value option.
Patio Room with Bath
Same modern wing location as the Patio Room but includes a proper bathtub. Themed in one of five styles. Worth the upgrade if you want a soak after a day hiking the dunes. Booking requires a small supplement over the standard Patio rate.

North Sea beaches are under 15 minutes by car or reachable by electric bike. Bloemendaal is known for its beach clubs; Zandvoort is the larger resort town with the F1 circuit nearby.
The national park begins essentially at the hotel's doorstep. Marked routes lead through dunes, oak forests, and wetlands. Brederode Castle ruins are a short walk away. Wild Konik horses and Scottish Highlanders graze in the dune valleys.
Santpoort-Noord station is a 2-minute walk. Direct trains reach Amsterdam Central in about 30 minutes. Easy day trip without a car.
Featured in several packages and available directly at the hotel. Includes a cycling and walking map of the surrounding area. Good for reaching the beach at Bloemendaal or Zandvoort, or exploring the national park trails.
Friday morning yoga sessions (10:00) during July and August, led by instructor Lotte. Sessions focus on slowing down, conscious movement, and breathwork — a short meditation, yoga poses, and deep relaxation. Held outdoors when weather allows, otherwise indoors. Yoga mats provided.
Summer-only (July and August) afternoon session on the manor's front steps. Four wines each served with a paired dish. Daily at 14:30.
Four-course tea service every Sunday at 12:00 with paired teas and a mix of sweet and savoury bites. Also bookable for groups of 16+ on other days.
