La Villa is a 16th-century Piedmontese palazzo — originally a working winery — converted into a 15-room boutique hotel by British owners Chris and Nicola. It sits on a hilltop in Mombaruzzo surrounded by Monferrato vineyards, with views stretching to the Alps on a clear day. The whole place runs like a well-organized private home: antique furniture mixed with modern comforts, an intimate spa in the old wine cellars, and a seriously good restaurant called La Vie.

The hotel's only standard double. Has wonderful views over the vineyards and towards the Alps. Features a large shower and can be converted to twin configuration on request.

La Villa is a short walk from Berta, one of Italy's most famous grappa distilleries, and a short drive from Bocchino. The hotel can arrange visits.
The hotel helps guests build self-drive winery itineraries or arranges guided tours with Nicola or local operators. The surrounding Monferrato and Asti zones have dozens of producers within easy reach.
Tailored wine tastings hosted by Nicola, the co-owner, who studied with WSET and has spent years visiting local producers in their cellars. Classes are customized to your level and interests, covering Barbera, Barolo, Barbaresco, and other regional varieties.
