La Sivolière Courchevel
Contemporary Alpine chalet; warm and intimate, family-oriented luxury without ostentation. Locally called Courchevel's 'best-kept secret'.
Afternoon tea (3:30–6pm daily) is complimentary and genuinely excellent — crêpes and hot chocolate made in front of you.
Why It Matters
One of the very few ski-in/ski-out hotels in Courchevel 1850 with a genuinely familial, non-corporate atmosphere. The hotel runs all the way down to a dedicated kids' welcome programme (Mini Sivo), a dog-sitting service, complimentary village shuttles, a full-service spa with Scentiana cosmetics, and seasonal guest-chef dinners at La Table de Madame. It holds Family Plus certification and awards from Traveller Made and Atout France.
La Sivolière is a 35-room, five-star ski-in/ski-out chalet hotel sitting just outside the centre of Courchevel 1850, tucked into the fir trees alongside the Dou du Midi slope. The vibe is a deliberately quieter alternative to Courchevel's flashier palaces: think velvet-lined armchairs, a crackling fireplace, Diptyque toiletries, and afternoon crêpes served to guests fresh off the slopes. Renovated by British interior designer Sara Copeland, it reads more like a well-run private home than a hotel — and that's entirely the point.

The hotel's dog-sitting team looks after canine guests while owners ski. Dogs receive a mountain or village walk, a colour-matched basket, and are even offered room-service meals. Dog-sitting is charged at €35 per hour.
La Sivolière's dedicated children's welcome programme. Kids check in at their own desk, receive a Mini Sivo passport, and are taken to the Mini Sivo Room (a dedicated play space). They get their own bathrobes, slippers, toiletries, and a children's restaurant menu. The hotel holds Family Plus certification on the strength of this programme.
Direct access from the hotel ski room to the Dou du Midi piste, connecting to the full 600 km Les Trois Vallées ski area. The ski room is fitted with a heated sofa and staffed by the hotel team in partnership with L'Atelier boutique ski shop, which can provide rental equipment and tuning on-site.
