The original Eden au Lac opened on Zurich's lakefront in 1909. When Michel Reybier's La Réserve brand took it over in 2018, they didn't just refresh it — they brought in Philippe Starck for a full reinvention, reopening in January 2020. The result is a 40-room boutique hotel styled as an imaginary lakeside yacht club: lacquered mahogany, regatta photographs, bronze gondola oar rests, and Ara Starck stained-glass windows, all anchored directly on the Utoquai promenade with Lake Zurich right outside every south-facing window.
