La Réserve de Beaulieu
Old-money Belle Époque elegance that has been kept genuinely fresh rather than museumified. Think autographed celebrity photos on the walls, sherbet-orange pool parasols, and staff who know guests' names. Small enough to feel residential, polished enough to feel palatial.

Why It Matters
One of the French Riviera's original grand hotels, continuously operating since 1880. Home to Le Restaurant des Rois — 1 Michelin star, Gault & Millau 17/20 — and a spa now operating under the La Prairie brand. Member of both Leading Hotels of the World and Relais & Châteaux. Michelin Guide rating of 19.1/20 for the hotel.
La Réserve de Beaulieu started life in 1880 as a seafood restaurant on the Côte d'Azur — the name comes from the large basin dug to store fishermen's catch. Guest rooms arrived in 1905, and the property has been a French Riviera institution ever since. Today, under the Delion family since 1997, it's a 39-room palace with a pink-and-white Florentine façade, marble-clad lobby, Italian-influenced interiors, and a Michelin-starred restaurant sitting right on the water between Nice and Monaco.
