La Perla is a small adults-only collection of cave houses and villas carved directly into the caldera cliffs of Oia, at the northern tip of Santorini's crescent. Every single unit faces the volcano and the Aegean — there is no 'bad view' room here. The Greek National Tourism Organization has officially classified it as 'traditionally built,' and the architecture earns that label: the flagship villa is a genuine 300-year-old cave house, once used as a winery. But the interiors are very much modern — Simmons mattresses, Nespresso machines, Molton Brown toiletries, and Bluetooth speakers in rooms that look like a designer's caldera fantasy.

There is no elevator at the property. Navigation requires descending (and ascending) multiple flights of stairs due to the caldera cliff location. Not suitable for guests with significant mobility challenges.
