La Malvasía sits right on the edge of the Doñana marshes in El Rocío, a sandy Andalusian village where horses still roam the unpaved streets and the basilica of the Virgen del Rocío looms just a few hundred metres away. The hotel operates across two whitewashed Andalusian buildings — Malvasía I and Malvasía II — decorated by interior designer Alejandra Pombo, blending timber beam ceilings, hand-painted tiles, and Provençal touches with genuinely modern comfort. Available in both Malvasía I and Malvasía II. Decorated by Alejandra Pombo with a focus on space, light, and Andalusian sophistication. Expect a proper sitting area, canopy or four-poster beds, views of the natural environment or the horse courtyard. Includes wine and snacks on arrival.
Junior Suite Deluxe
Located in Malvasía II, directly facing the Doñana marsh. Large room with a generous living area. The highlight: a telescope is provided so you can watch flamingos, spoonbills, ibis, and deer from inside your room without setting foot outside. Stained glass windows feature in some configurations.
Junior Suite Deluxe Mirador
The top-tier room at La Malvasía — 'Mirador' means viewpoint, and that's exactly what you get. Spectacular panoramic marsh views, maximum space, and the full luxury kit. Decorated by Alejandra Pombo and fully equipped. Reviewed as 'the best room in the hotel' by multiple guests.
Standard Room
Located in Malvasía I, the original building. These rooms look out over the hotel's internal patios and are the quietest option for light sleepers who want to sleep in. Timber beam ceilings, tiled floors, individually decorated by Alejandra Pombo. Note: some reviewers report that 'patio views' can mean ventilation areas rather than garden courtyards — worth confirming when booking.
Superior Room
Also in Malvasía I, but with windows facing outward. Gets strong morning sun. Ideal for those who want to disconnect entirely and wake up slowly — the sun comes in hard through exterior windows. Each one is uniquely decorated; expect canopy beds or artistic headboards, colourful tilework in the bathroom.
