La Grée des Landes
Natural slow-life retreat. Muted, earthy tones, raw oak and linen everywhere, art installations dotted through the grounds, donkeys in a paddock by the entrance. The Yves Rocher DNA is tangible — plant-based everything — without feeling like a branded product placement.

Why It Matters
France's first 100% ecological spa hotel. Certified Green Globe Platinum, EU Ecolabel, and HQE. The on-site restaurant Les Jardins Sauvages has held the Michelin Green Star for Gastronomy and Sustainability since 2023 — one of very few restaurants in France certified 100% organic (since 2013). Every night booked plants one tree through the Yves Rocher Foundation. The treetop spa cabin perched 6m up in a century-old cypress is genuinely one-of-a-kind.
La Grée des Landes is the flagship eco-property of the Yves Rocher brand, born in the same hilltop village where founder Yves Rocher himself grew up. It bills itself — accurately — as France's first 100% ecological spa hotel. Thirty-two accommodations sit low and single-storey across 10 hectares of Breton moorland, all facing south-west over the Aff valley, and the organic gourmet restaurant Les Jardins Sauvages holds a Michelin Green Star. The pace here is intentional and slow; this is not a place for people who want a packed itinerary.
