La Bastide de Marie
Intimate family home meets refined Provençal elegance. Soft colors, beautiful antique furniture, baroque accents, and hand-picked brocante pieces give the place a warmth that most luxury hotels can't manufacture. Think chic farmhouse, not grand hotel lobby.
Book the 'Bastide' half-board formula — it includes breakfast, afternoon tea, aperitif, and dinner with estate wines, which represents real value versus paying à la carte
Why It Matters
One of the few Provence properties where the setting is genuinely integrated into the experience: you can prune vines, taste estate wines with the cellar master, pick herbs for your treatment, and eat what the chef bought at market that morning — all without leaving the property. Part of the respected Maisons et Hôtels Sibuet collection, which also runs Les Fermes de Marie in Megève and Villa Marie in Saint-Tropez.
An 18th-century Provençal stone farmhouse sitting inside the 30-hectare Domaine de Marie vineyard, run by the Sibuet family since 1999. The main bastide houses around 14 rooms and suites — each named by color rather than number — with additional private villas scattered across the estate with their own heated pools. It feels like a private home that happens to have excellent food, a botanically inspired spa, and a working winery next door.

Chef François Martin shares market-driven techniques and Provençal recipes in an interactive demonstration. Runs every Tuesday and Thursday at 5pm during the season. Paired with tastings of Domaine de Marie wines.
A curated al fresco lunch among the estate's vines, prepared by the kitchen. Best enjoyed in spring or early autumn when the light is good and crowds are low.
Rent an electric bike and explore the Luberon countryside — olive groves, lavender, and hilltop villages — with a gourmet picnic basket of local flavors from the estate kitchen. A flat €95/person add-on to any room rate.
Guided truffle hunt through the Luberon with a local truffle grower and their dog. Accompanies the seasonal 'Black Diamond Crunchers' package which pairs the hunt with an all-truffle dinner at the bastide. Extra charge applies.
The estate's own winery produces AOC Luberon reds, rosés, and whites under cellar master Arnaud Bressy using Grenache, Syrah, Roussanne, Vermentino, Cinsault, and Mourvèdre. Guests can visit the caves and taste with expert guidance. Included free in the Passion Syrah offer for 3+ night stays.
Morning yoga in the gardens with views of the Luberon, offered seasonally — particularly in spring. Not a permanent fixture; check with the hotel for the current season's schedule.
