KPM Hotel & Residences
Minimalist design hotel with genuine heritage depth — monochromatic palette, warm natural woods, custom porcelain artwork in every room, and a moody Vietnamese restaurant. Quiet and refined without being stuffy.
The S-Bahn Tiergarten stop is 3 minutes' walk — use it to zip across the whole city with ease.
Why It Matters
The KPM porcelain connection is real, not decorative. Rooms contain handcrafted porcelain art by Berlin sculptor Michael F. Langer. Restaurant Dong A serves on actual KPM URANIA and URBINO pattern porcelain. The 260-year-old factory is next door with guided tours available. Also, a complimentary Porsche Taycan joyride is offered via the hotel's partnership with Porsche Centre Berlin.
The hotel that grew from a porcelain dynasty. KPM Hotel & Residences opened in September 2019 on the grounds of the 260-year-old Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur, where handcrafted KPM porcelain objects appear throughout the rooms as genuine art pieces. The architecture — a slate-gray steel facade with floor-to-ceiling glass and cubist bay windows, designed by prize-winning firm Axthelm Rolvien — stands in deliberate contrast to the historic factory buildings next door. It is a 5-star Design Hotels member with 112 rooms, 14 suites, and 46 full-service residence apartments.
