Why It Matters
One of the few hotels in the Netherlands with its own golf course, a nationally registered monument, and a whisky collection that won Best Whisky Collection in 2000. Restaurant JUDITH (Gault&Millau 14.5/20) operates in the original 19th-century glass conservatory with moat and fairway views. The castle is celebrating its 450th anniversary in 2025.

A Donald Steel-designed 9-hole, par-72 course set in the historic parkland of the 50-hectare estate. Tee off from a 400-year-old icehouse surrounded by centuries-old trees. Tee times are spaced every 10 minutes and you won't be grouped with other flights — unusually relaxed for a hotel course. Both beginners and experienced golfers can play. A golf school with clinics, lessons, and beginner programs is on site.
