Kalesma sits on a hillside above Ornos Bay on Mykonos's quieter southwest side, about 5 km from Mykonos Town. Opened in 2022 by co-founders Makis Kousathanas and Aby Saltiel — the former's family has owned the land for over a century — the place was designed by K-Studio and Vangelis Bonios to read like a contemporary Cycladic village: whitewashed curved walls, chestnut ceilings, 60-year-old olive trees, and ceramics by Serbian artist Aleksander Vac. Every single suite and villa has its own private heated pool, which is genuinely rare on this island.
