Kaiserlodge
Alpine luxury aparthotel with a strong nature-forward identity. Traditional Tyrolean architecture meets modern, airy interiors — pale wood, natural stone, and glass throughout. Family-run with a genuinely warm, non-pretentious atmosphere. The motto is 'Alles kann. Nichts muss.' — everything is possible, nothing is required.
Book a lake suite if possible — private footbridge access to the swim pond is genuinely special and worth the premium
Why It Matters
One of very few ski-in/ski-out luxury aparthotels in the Wilder Kaiser area with its own natural swimming lake. The 2025 opening of the adults-only Natürlich.Spa was a significant upgrade, and the property holds the Austrian Ecolabel for sustainability. The Kaiser's Deli restaurant earned a 2025 Gault&Millau recommendation under chef Peter Pitonak. Listed on Tablet Hotels and featured by FOUR Magazine.
Kaiserlodge opened in autumn 2017 as the sister property to Hotel Kaiser in Tirol, and it's a genuinely original concept — part apartment, part hotel, with 44 individually designed suites and apartments set directly on a 1,300m² private natural swimming pond. Fourteen of those units have their own footbridge straight into the water. The building's rooflines mirror the jagged peaks of the Wilder Kaiser above, and inside it's all reclaimed timber, pale stone, and natural fabrics. Ski-in/ski-out to the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental in winter; in summer, that same door opens onto hiking trails. The philosophy here is refreshingly simple: do what you want, when you want. Cook in your suite, eat in the restaurant, or order a one-pot dish sent up from the kitchen.
