Insulae is a design-forward boutique resort set on Sicily's Tyrrhenian coast, a short drive from Cefalù's medieval old town. The 4,500 sqm of tropical and Mediterranean gardens — tall palms, fig trees, succulents, banana plants — wrap around 18 suites and pool lodges spread across 9 private two-room lodges. At the center of it all sits a 120 sqm infinity pool. The property is built to bio-architecture standards: solar panels, thermal photovoltaic systems, and acoustic insulation. Zayt, the on-site fine dining restaurant, is the real calling card, with Chef Ignazio Morgante working seasonal Sicilian menus honed alongside Michelin-starred chef Nino Ferreri.
