Why It Matters

One of very few hotels in Buenos Aires where the full cultural curation — guides, drivers, restaurant reservations, polo seats, estancia day trips — is included in the room rate. Featured in the Michelin Guide and Tablet Hotels. The building's history adds another layer: it was built in 1957 for the Palacios family, whose patriarch famously bought part of the Duhau property to house his second wife, the celebrated actress and singer Egle Martin.

Eleven suites. No signage on the door. No reception desk downstairs — just a marble entryway, a doorman, and an ivory leather sofa. Hub Porteño occupies a French-style 1957 mansion in Recoleta, and it operates less like a hotel than a very well-connected friend's city townhouse. The real product here is the staff: they book your polo tickets, arrange a private guide to an estancia, get you a table at the restaurants no one else can call — and much of that is folded into the cost of the room.

Where You'll Stay

3 room types available

Bacan Suite
suite

Bacan Suite

Two of the eleven suites carry this designation. The main draw: floor-to-ceiling windows that look directly onto the winter garden, flooding the room with natural light. Same marble bathroom with Jacuzzi as the standard suite, same king bed and antique furnishings, but the garden-facing window wall makes them feel like a different class of room entirely.

Grand Suite
suite

Grand Suite

The largest room in the property. Has its own private outdoor terrace (around 400 sq ft) with a dining area — the only suite with genuinely private outdoor space. Two full marble bathrooms, both with Jacuzzi tubs. A separate living room inside makes it work well for longer stays. If you want the most privacy and the most space, this is it.

Suite

The standard entry point — and still genuinely spacious. Parquet floors, palatial ceilings, antique furniture mixed with contemporary Argentine design pieces. Leather headboard over a Super King bed, Nespresso machine, wine cooler with stemware, iPod dock and stereo. The marble bathroom is the star: Jacuzzi tub and a separate walk-in rainfall shower. Complimentary snacks — alfajores, soft drinks — and in-suite drinks are standard across all room categories.
