Hub Porteño
Old-world Argentine grandeur with a curatorial edge. Marble floors, antique furniture, animal hides, wool textiles and gilded mirrors sit alongside leather headboards and flat screens. Suites are unnumbered. The vibe is less 'hotel' and more 'very wealthy Buenos Aires family lets you stay in their home.'
The bar on the rooftop terrace isn't always staffed, but you can order drinks directly via WhatsApp — the front desk number is always responsive
Why It Matters
One of very few hotels in Buenos Aires where the full cultural curation — guides, drivers, restaurant reservations, polo seats, estancia day trips — is included in the room rate. Featured in the Michelin Guide and Tablet Hotels. The building's history adds another layer: it was built in 1957 for the Palacios family, whose patriarch famously bought part of the Duhau property to house his second wife, the celebrated actress and singer Egle Martin.
Eleven suites. No signage on the door. No reception desk downstairs — just a marble entryway, a doorman, and an ivory leather sofa. Hub Porteño occupies a French-style 1957 mansion in Recoleta, and it operates less like a hotel than a very well-connected friend's city townhouse. The real product here is the staff: they book your polo tickets, arrange a private guide to an estancia, get you a table at the restaurants no one else can call — and much of that is folded into the cost of the room.

One of four signature curated experiences. The hotel's House Concierges arrange everything — private shows, milonga visits, lessons — based on guest preferences. Guides are English-speaking and include drivers.
The concierge team can book seats at Teatro Colón and other live music and opera venues — and getting access to good seats at short notice is exactly the kind of thing the hotel is known for.
One of the four signature experiences — a deep dive into the life and legacy of Eva Perón through guided tours of historically significant sites in Buenos Aires.
The hotel can arrange tickets and transport to polo matches. A popular activity given Buenos Aires' strong polo culture.
One of the four signature curated experiences. Day trips to an estancia in the countryside around Buenos Aires, with gaucho culture, horseback riding and Argentine asado.
