Why It Matters
Awarded 1 Michelin Key in 2025. Only 7 suites in a building that dates to the late Middle Ages — Antwerp's Moretus printing dynasty once lived here. Interior by Gert Voorjans (named by AD France as one of 'The 100 decorators of the world' in 2020). Adults-only, so the pace is genuinely calm. The whole property can also be hired exclusively.
Seven-suite boutique hotel inside a cluster of medieval Antwerp townhouses with foundations dating to 1445. Opened in March 2022 after a full fit-out by interior designer Gert Voorjans, who brought in Antwerp painter Nils Verkaeren to spend two weeks locked inside painting murals directly onto the walls. The result is a color-drenched, maximalist world of botanical motifs, clawfoot tubs, wicker furniture, a vintage library, and a secret garden courtyard — all about 150 metres from the Cathedral of Our Lady.
