Hotel Eden
Patrician Roman palazzo meets contemporary Italian elegance. Warm gold tones, mosaic marble bathrooms, curated artwork, and hanging lanterns. Laidback but never casual — the kind of place where Fellini used to hold his press interviews on the roof.

Why It Matters
One of Rome's oldest luxury hotels, operating since 1889, with a guest book including royalty, heads of state, Ingrid Bergman, and John F. Kennedy Jr. The rooftop La Terrazza restaurant earned a Michelin star in late 2025 under Executive Chef Salvatore Bianco. Winner of Best Hotel in Rome 2024 by Condé Nast Traveler. Also awarded One Key by the Michelin Guide Hotels.
Hotel Eden opened in 1889 and has been a fixture of Rome's luxury hospitality scene ever since. Joined the Dorchester Collection in 2013, then closed for a full renovation that wrapped in spring 2017 — the redesign involved four acclaimed French designers (Bruno Moinard, Claire Bétaille, Patrick Jouin, and Sanjit Manku) who gave the interiors a golden, airy feel without stripping out the palazzo soul. Ninety-eight rooms and suites sit just above the Spanish Steps, with rooftop panoramas sweeping from the Quirinale to St. Peter's. No pool. But the view from the sixth floor at sunset makes that easy to forget.
