Hotel de Lagom
Minimalist Scandinavian-French boutique. Warm materials, soft lighting, deliberate calm. Not a design hotel in the look-but-don't-touch sense — it reads more like a considered, liveable space. Rooms are soundproofed, which matters enormously in this neighborhood.

Why It Matters
One of Hanoi's newest 5-star boutique properties, already listed by both the Michelin Guide and Tablet Hotels within months of opening. The rooftop infinity pool overlooking the Old Quarter is a genuine standout for this price point in the city. Reviewed on Booking.com at 9.4/10 from 282 guests.
HOTEL de LAGOM opened in December 2024 on a calm stretch of Ly Nam De Street, roughly 200 meters from the southern edge of Hanoi's Old Quarter. The design draws on Swedish and French sensibilities — natural textures, muted tones, restrained detailing — and the result is a noticeably quieter atmosphere than the surrounding streets would suggest. Eight floors, 68 rooms, a rooftop sky infinity pool, a full-service spa, and a restaurant with 180-degree city views. The name itself translates to 'just the right amount' in Swedish, and that restraint shows throughout.
