Hotel Covington lives in Kentucky's first modern skyscraper — a building born from department store ambitions and a winning bet on a horse named Knowledge. That backstory isn't just decorative; it runs through the whole place: 114 rooms in the original building plus 53 apartment-style suites in the former Covington YMCA next door (now called North by Hotel Covington).
