Hotel Casa Legado
Warm mid-century Art Deco home. Family-run with genuine personality — the check-in desk is an ice-cream cart that was Helena's childhood birthday gift. Playful wallpaper, layered textiles, and sentimental objects repurposed throughout. Feels less like a hotel and more like staying at a well-traveled friend's very well-designed house. Nine distinct communal living areas including a fireplace salon, sunlit 'solar,' library, and a garden courtyard draped in climbing ivy.
Book The Natalia for the most romantic setup — the freestanding bathtub sits right in the bedroom
Why It Matters
One of only 9 Colombian hotels to earn a Michelin Key in 2025. Also featured in Tablet Hotels, Mr & Mrs Smith, and Kiwi Collection. The proprietor is an interior designer, and it shows — every room is individually decorated and named after a real family member, with sentimental objects stylishly woven into the design. The ice-cream cart reception desk was Helena's childhood birthday gift. The Lego model of the hotel was built by her niece on opening day.
Two 1950s Art Deco houses in Bogotá's Quinta Camacho neighborhood, converted into one of Colombia's most acclaimed boutique hotels by owner and interior designer Helena Dávila. Thirteen rooms, each named after a different family member and genuinely different from the last — from the 47m² Laura suite with its fireplace, to the cozy 18m² Santiago. The whole philosophy is 'mi casa es su casa,' and the hotel earns that claim: stocked open kitchen with complimentary snacks, borrowed bikes for the neighborhood, and a communal breakfast table where guests actually talk to each other.
