Can Sastre is a 13-room boutique hotel inside a 17th-century family townhouse in the old town of Ciutadella — two minutes from the cathedral, five from the port. The building was home to La Sin Nombre, a pastry shop that ran for four generations from 1862 until 1987. The Sastre family converted it into a hotel in 2018, and they kept almost everything: the original pastry counter is now the reception desk, still lined with antique glass candy jars, scales, and vintage recipe cards. Candy-making machines from 1840 sit in a showcase of family memories. Breakfast is served under marés stone vaults in the cellar, and it's the kind of meal people write home about.

The property's only suite, on the second floor. At 33m² interior plus an 18m² private terrace overlooking the old town, it's a genuine step up. Bathroom has both a freestanding bathtub and a separate glass-enclosed shower. Best room if you want outdoor space and want to sit above the Ciutadella rooftops with a drink.
