Hotel Bo is a 22-room design boutique hotel in the historic Barrio de Mexicanos, right in the center of San Cristóbal de las Casas. The aesthetic is a striking mix: Scandinavian-influenced clean lines and neutral palettes collide head-on with vivid Chiapaneco textiles, hand-crafted local woodwork, and Venetian mosaic bathrooms. The name itself comes from the indigenous word for water — one of four elements (water, fire, earth, air) the whole place is built around, from the courtyard pool and water features to the fireplaces in select suites.

The entry-level room at Hotel Bo, and still nicely done. Air conditioning and heating both included — you'll need the heating at altitude.
KingMaster Suite Bo
The top room. Two levels, King bed, travertine marble bathroom with a freestanding tub, and a private terrace with a panoramic view of Cerro de Huitepec. The terrace is a real asset — breakfast up there in the morning light or a drink under the stars are both worth the rate premium. Molton Brown amenities throughout. Air conditioning and heating included.
KingSuite Deluxe Bo
Probably the most immersive of the garden suites. Surrounded by gardens of lavender, flowers, and bamboo, this one has an interior terrace rest area with a real fireplace, a second bamboo garden with an open-air breakfast area, and a travertine marble bathroom with a full bathtub. The water mirrors and exterior gardens connect it all together. Etro amenities; some sources also cite Molton Brown.
KingSuite Deluxe Superior
A step up from the Deluxe rooms, with a King bed, a private terrace with garden views, Venetian mosaic bathroom, minibar, and welcome amenities. The terrace is the highlight — good for watching the evening light fall over the gardens.
