A family-run Art Nouveau resort in the Upper Lusatian Mountains of Saxony, about an hour from Dresden. The Roman-style SPA TEMPLE — 6,000 sqm of columns, domes, indoor pools, and sauna worlds opened in 2005 — is the main event, deliberately capacity-capped to keep the atmosphere calm. The newer SEEFLÜGEL wing (the 'lake wing') adds a suspended Flying Pool, a snow room, and 19 junior suites oriented toward panoramic forest and meadow views. Strictly adults only (16+), which keeps things quiet. The on-site Gourmet Restaurant JUWEL holds a Michelin star and is, per the hotel itself, the only star restaurant in rural Saxony.

Pleasure Suite is the smoker-friendly option with separate living area, covered terrace, and a fireplace.

SEEFLÜGEL Junior Suites
Nineteen modern rooms in the newer eco-architecture lake wing. Minimalist 'slow living' design that takes architectural cues from the surrounding forests, mountains, and lakes. All-day sun terraces (with infrared heating in winter), panoramic nature views, and luxurious bathrooms. Booking one of these is also what unlocks access to the exclusive SPA 2.0 with the Flying Pool. Two rooms are allergy-friendly.

Two couple-focused suites — Romeo and Julia — located inside the SPA TEMPLE. The headline feature: massage loungers integrated into the room in front of the fireplace, so you can do treatments in-room as a couple simultaneously. Private sauna and large round bathtub. Mediterranean color tones throughout. Honestly very hard to find a reason to leave the room.

Large bathrooms, quiet corridor, and an atmosphere that's purely spa-forward. If the Roman baths concept is what drew you here, being steps away from them is a genuine upgrade.

Nearly 150 sqm of the most extravagant space in the house. Has its own private kitchen — head chef Tobias Heldt can prepare an exclusive menu right in your suite. The private rooftop terrace with Jacuzzi is the place to be at sunset. Genuinely feels like a private apartment rather than a hotel room.

Nine suites that pay homage to the former Hotel 'Zum Weber' — think rustic charm updated with modern comforts. Most have separated living and sleeping areas; some include a Raindance shower. The Romantic Suite, with its freestanding four-poster bed, has apparently started more than a few marriages since the 1980s.

The hotel provides an extensive guide to regional excursion destinations by season — from Bautzen's old town festival to Görlitz's historic architecture to Dresden's Striezelmarkt in December. Roughly 15–60 minutes by car.
The surrounding Oberlausitz region has well-developed hiking and cycling trails. The Valtenberg — highest peak in Upper Lusatia at 586m — is nearby, as are forest trails and the UNESCO biosphere reserve.
In the colder months, the elongated Kneipp pool on the SEEFLÜGEL sun deck freezes over and is used for ice skating and curling. A genuinely unexpected feature for a wellness hotel.

Daily changing themed sauna aufguss (infusions) performed by dedicated sauna masters across the multiple sauna rooms. Guests frequently mention this as a highlight.
A private spring-water bathing lake on the hotel grounds with floating islands, loungers, and shoreside relaxation spots. You can also take out a rowing boat. In summer it's a genuine highlight — clear water, tall trees, and no external guests.
The SEEWUNDERBAR can host civil ceremonies on the lakefront or champagne receptions for private events. The hotel has an established reputation for weddings.
